Happy July everyone!! There are officially 4 months left in the year... Hard to believe, and i know it's like this every year, but it really does feel like new years was just yesterday. July has always been one of my favorite months, not only because i was born in july, but also because, we get these cool "popcorn thunderstorms" from time to time, Just strong enough to look cool, but not strong enough to hurt anybody (besides lightning, of course). I mean, just look at these:

Another question, does anyone remember this song? I certainly do, but i also can't blame you if you've never heard of it before, because it came out new years eve 2023... Idk even know how many people who listened to that song still use ng all this time later.

So why, Reganati? Why? you may be asking...

Well, i'm trying to get used to the whole "bass juggling" thing again, and this is the first song that came to mind... And to the question of: "why am i trying to get into the juggling thing" again, It's because there's this song i was supposed to make for my brother, that was gonna have the juggling gimmick in it, i promised i would do it, but that was 14 months ago...

I kinda feel bad because i've only finished one of his song ideas, and it's literally my worst song from 2024 :(

So imma go back and do it now, and to make sure it's not ass like Lynel Plains (his other idea), i decided to practice a bit :)

To me, i never understood why this of all songs is my most viewed, and for a while, i've felt like this song could've used a new haircut, but, i mean, look at this...

i can't in good conscious upload it again... who uploads a remake of a song that got featured? whoever he is, his name isn't reganati.

So instead of uploading it here, i just put it on youtube. I guess that's cool cuz i got to make a cool new visualizer with pride colors n shit. I made a news post about it so they can never say i was hiding it... (+ kinda proud of it)

You ever almost fall through the ground? I have... matter of fact, i was outside yesterday and i almost fell like leg deep into the ground... Probably a stupid mole or something. I swear, he better make sure he hides good or else he's gonna be wintin's new teeth cushion.

Anyway, as you can probably tell by the big ol' logo at the top, this is a song about a marsh, obviously. That's why i was talking about falling through the ground. I've been to a marsh before, and let's just say my pant legs were ruined after that whole thing...

I decided to do this instead of ruins 3, cuz uploading 3 versions of the same song in one weekend is kinda crazy. Imma still do it, just, later...

I did a rather simple song because what's complicated about a marsh? I cannot believe i've uploaded a new song 3 days in a row... that's gotta be a record! And if you can believe it, this is another song i've been wanting to do for quite some time, since early march. Last time, it was this weird videogame-salsa fusion song, but i went for a more chill videogamey vibe this time.

I rate it, eh 6.75/10. At least the lead is decent, been struggling with melodies recently. This took me 4 hours and 57 minutes, mostly last night. Im sorta excited to do marsh 2, i have an idea i wanna try out.

Do you like the logo? I decided to use this instead of the usual bold text... might just start doing that in the future. This logo is for the visualizer im gonna do for my youtube. When am i doing that visualizer? Idk... eventually...

Anyway, this surprisingly didn't take too long all things considered... The hardest part was probably making the chords... but all in all, took me 6 hours, between yesterday and today.

I rate 8/10... slightly better than ruins 1 imo, specifically for the middle part, and the lead. Still not perfect, but might as well post. you guys rated ruins 1 higher than i did lmao

Went for a "looser" vibe with this song, if that makes sense... What i mean is i used less idiophonic instruments (Xylos, Kalimbas etc) and instead used more wind instruments. Idiophonic instruments have a shorter decay time, so i switched it for a bit of a more prolonged sound. I also used more of those cool synths from beepbox (i think it's called sawtooth lead 2 iirc). On top of that, i added glass tapping sounds in the perc, for the musical seasoning ig.

Also, switched up the progression a tiny bit, made it less depressing, because there's nothing wrong with being happy sometimes...

Also one more thing...

It's a question i've had for ages, but never asked... i just use it as a reload button lmao

Dear god, it's finally over... 3 years, it was... 3 years it took me... You have no idea how many times i attempted to make this song, all the restless nights, all the time spent jiggling wintin's back out of frustration... I even almost finished this before my macbook commited suicide... (was bummed about that)

this idea is from late 2022... and the reason it took so long is because, i didn't know what chord progression to use, but now i finally figured it out... so here it is.

I rate it a 7/10, not bad by any means, but not absolutely perfect either... but honestly, never thought i would finish this song, so i'm still glad regardless.

If you would be so kind, give it a listen. It would make Reganati from 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 happy lmao.

1 Year of 2nd Chapter Songs!

i guess i just didn't realize it's been a year already... but the first 2nd chapter song came out on June 27, 2024:

Honestly, looking back on that first song, i gotta say, i've improved more than i realized... but still, best decision i've ever made.

Thanks to everyone who listened to those songs, (even the shitty ones, still learning lmao) means alot to me, i put a lot of effort into those and it's nice to know it pays off somewhat :)

Old Reganati Logo

This is a remake of my first logo from 2020. Gonna be honest, thought i'd never see it again, but then i stumbled across my old youtube and then found it. So i decided, since it sucked, i would remake it. And voila, there it is.

Also, i remade the "Filminati" logo, i stumbled across that old channel too, and while there's nothing on it right now, i do know i was gonna use it to post pixelart animations... never got around to it tho... might revisit that idea in the future, still.

So yeah, enjoy this poorly designed logo, i guess... I mean the colors are nice, but i don't know what's going on with the R! thingy, i don't know why i added that and not just the full name...

Summer's starting off hot (literally) where i am, temps are supposed to get up to 100 degrees tomorrow, with an index 110+...

It's so hot, the NWS pulled out the special icon for tomorrow through wednesday...

kinda sucks cuz i have virtually no AC but oh well, same thing happens every year, no matter where i go, the AC always breaks right before a "prolific heat wave"

I'm not alone tho, the entire eastern US is gonna be baking this week:

The oranges are heat advisories and the angry reds inside the oranges are excessive heat warnings.

The way i see it, heat advisory means it starts to become dangerous to do any sort of physical labor outside, and excessive heat watch/warning means it's dangerous to be outside period.

Juneteenth

That's right, i didn't forget. If you don't know, juneteenth is a day celebrating the "freeing of slaves" in the U.S. Not all slaves were ACTUALLY freed but still worth celebrating regardless ig...

Gonna be honest, didn't know about this holiday until covid, apparently after that my mom stopped celebrating 4th of july instead of juneteenth, cuz my great-great grandparents were slaves (i think)

Anyway, Congrats to our ancestors who made it through to the end, they are WAY stronger than any of us probably ever will be, and i pay respects to those who didn't make it.

Im starting to be able to draw again. Not gonna lie, with my new setup, drawing was impossible, cuz of my slippery mouse... but i have an old school chromebook i can use to draw... it can run kleki, and honestly i can draw just fine with the trackpad. More art soon, maybe ;)

I got these two short songs i made, trying to go for an "overworld" or "hub-world" feel... turned out... decent.

Gonna be doing more of these, but im not posting it on my main, cuz i think it just doesn't fit here... It'll be over on my alt account tho. Im doing like 4-6 of these, cuz honestly don't feel like doing more than that...

new 2nd chapter song!!!! finally!!!!

I have been waiting to post this for a while... Back in Late Jan-Feb, I started this song (on my now broken mac), I was supposed to do this one after i did shrub.

It was going well, but when i made it to the middle section, i didn't know what to do, so i kinda just forgot about it for 3 months. Then i finally got an idea in the shower back in late april, unfortunately that was the night my mac died...

So recently, i decided i wanted to take a crack at it again, it went better this time.

I ended up going for a f-777 type 6/8 song... I think that was good for the song i was going for. I wanted that desert, dry, hostile type energy... Because what's a good video game soundtrack without a desert theme?

So glad to finally finish another 2nd chapter song, I ended up taking a break for longer than i expected...

I mentioned i wanted to finish them all by 2026, I have a list of 48 and i only finished 20 so idk if i can even do that anymore... Still worth a shot tho.

which means hurricane season is starting...

Can't believe it's already hurricane season again... Feels like the last one just ended. It was a long one too, we has some pretty bad storms last year, and if you don't live under rock and live in the u.s. then you probably know what i'm talking about. I hope this hurricane season isn't like the last one, where it was just storm after storm and all of them seemed to hit something...

But it looks like we're in for another active season this year, not as crazy as last year, but still active.

NOAA is calling for:

13-19 Named Storms (39 mph+)(67 Km/h)

6-10 Hurricanes (74 mph+)(119 Km/h)

3-5 Major Hurricanes (111 mph+)(178 Km/h)

which, again, is above average. the average amount is:

14 Named Storms (39 mph+)(67 Km/h)

7 Hurricanes (74+ mph)(119 Km/h)

3 Major Hurricanes (111 mph+)(178 Km/h)

So yeah, we're probably in for a pretty wild time again this year... but it's nothing we can't prepare for.

If you live in the u.s, i recommend you use nhc.noaa.gov. and if you don't live in the u.s, i suggest you move to the u.s. so you can use nhc.noaa.gov. Seriously, it's a good site - i use it all the time. It's great for learning about pretty much anything about hurricanes, including all the important safety stuff i don't feel qualified to yap about.

So what's going on in the tropics right now?

Here's a look at what it looks like right now...

yeah... not much going on in the immediate future... just like last year, hurricane season is starting off pretty slow, which is the way it should be. Nobody wants any of that craziness... but, looking ahead, it looks like things will be favorable enough for something to come together.

But, we'll see..

And also, depending on what side of the internet you're on, you might've seen some "meteorologists" claiming there's a major hurricane that's gonna form and that it's gonna move into the gulf. I think there's a chance something moves into the gulf by like july, but i can say with like 98% certainty that there's no major hurricane andrea to talk about right now... It boils my blood when i see people exploiting people's fears like that for clicks and money, so i thought i'd mention it so you can see through the bullshit.
