I actually considered getting a "cool lightning scar"* at one point in my life - since it 'is' quite survivable. But on the flip-side, the chances of lasting neurological damage are not exactly well-documented. The one case of that park ranger who got depression from being struck by lightning too many times also made me think that the scar would "probably" not be worth it.
I am damaged enough as is. ;)

According to some in-depth research I did on the matter in 2013, the chance of being struck by lightning during a thunderstorm 'while being outside' is 1:3,000. The chance of being fatally struck is 1:3,300,000.
Anyone who has ever played the lottery will notice that this chance is 'actually quite high, all things considered'...

Yeah, which is exactly why you should be inside during a t-storm... Plus, what even is there to do outside anyway... All there is is cold wind, rain and the occasional hailstone
