A large wind storm is on it's way in my region, we're expecting 50-60 mph wind gusts into tonight, but the wind isn't too terribly strong as of yet - only around 6-10 mph, but i have noticed the wind increasing...
Right now the center of low pressure (basically just the storm center) is over northern pennsylvania:
But just because the center is over PA doesn't mean nobody else is affected.
Nearly the entire east coast is being affected in some way by this storm
The NWS issued a "High Wind Warning" for my area (Warning for sustained winds of 40 mph or more OR wind gusts over 58 mph)
For my area, the weather service says winds of 20-30 mph with gusts up to 60 mph
It's not completely earth shattering but it is quite notable, i've never seen 60 mph gusts outside of a severe thunderstorm, and even then, i haven't seen ACTUAL 60 mph gusts more than 2 or 3 times in my life
I have an anemometer (measures wind speed) so we'll see how fast the winds actually get... maybe
So yeah that's basically it, just yapping about something i find interesting 😅
